Today, on the first day of National Teacher Appreciation Week, one of our library customers was an extraordinary teacher
She came in with a long list of students and what each individual student was interested in.
She came in on her day off, to pick up books (tons of books) so that all her students could read about whatever topic they happened to find fascinating.
And she was so appreciative of the help the librarians gave in finding the relevant books. She seemed like the kind of teacher who would put “Super Job” and “Good Work!” on her students’ papers.
I wish I could have given this teacher a “Good Work!” sticker, but instead, I offered her a teacher card.
We have lots of books and other resources for educators, too.
