Every Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM homeschoolers ages 8 through 12 gather for creative explorations that focus on a wide variety of topics from science to history and art. Homeschool Tuedays feature books and other resources, discussion, and hands-on activities.
To celebrate Black History Month, we examined Dr. Martin Luther King’s life and impact on American culture. This week we shared the amazing story of folk artist, Clementine Hunter. Some of the areas of study we have covered include owls and their pellets, the art of Josef Albers, metamorphosis, DNA extraction, the underground railroad, genealogy, and wetland ecology.
Join us next Tuesday for an art project, music, discussion, and an exhibit!
