Awesome August: Drums, dance, and DNA

Summer might have wound down, but it’s not quite over yet. On Thursday, August 15 from 10:30-11:30, Yamoussa Camara and Camara Drum and Dance will help us celebrate summer reading by performing the music and dance of West Africa. For info, click Celebrate: Summer reading.

When the dancing’s done, how about extracting some DNA? On Saturday, August 17 from 11:30-12:30, our friend, botanist Cynthia Morton, will come to the Children’s Department and show us how it works. Cool, huh? For info, click Super Science: Fun with DNA.

Hope to see you there!
