Recently, a very sweet lady came to the Children’s Department with a very sweet baby. On their way out, the lady dropped some pieces of delicious chocolate candy on the reference desk. “Thank you,” she said, ‘Goodbye.”
The candy was attached to a little card. Beneath a picture of a pretty green wreath, the card read:
Thank you for all the hard work you do
for others all year and especially
during the holiday season. Your
courtesy, caring patience, and long hours
are appreciated more than you know.
Wasn’t that nice?
So, thank you, too, whoever you are who left us these candies.
And thank you to YOU, you reading this, who use and value the library and keep us happily busy and useful all year long.
