We heard your dinosaur favorites. We stuck on your stickers. We taught you the polka and the bunny hop. We told you stories. And you’ve told us about the books you’ve read.  We hope we’ve given you at least a book and so much more. Now is the time to fill out our survey and tell us what you liked best about Summer Reading and what you learned.

If you haven’t yet given a final report for Summer Reading, THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR OUR GRAND PRIZES: A KINDLE FIRE for big kids; A V-TECH CAMERA for little kids.  You need to read at least four books and do all the Summer Reading Activities OR read five or more books to qualify. Besides the chance for the grand prize, you choose a book to keep.

And of course, the library is open after the summer. We’re here all year offering you what we always consider the best prize of all: Reading!

About Tina Zubak

I've been a librarian at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh for about 12 years, first at the Beechview branch and now at Children's. I've written some books myself, but alas, no publications. Among my favorite books are BFG, Houndsley and Catrina and the Quiet Time, Ramona Quimby, Age 8, Nation and Rose Daughter.
